Lunch Time Madness

As I munched away at my "delicious" $2 cardboard pizza from the cafeteria, I saw Ben sprinting full speed at me with an aura of mischief. He skidded to a halt and says “We need to do this epic prank on Avery! You need to distract her-I rigged a soda to explode when she opens it.”

I was all in when he told me - he's maaaaybe a bad prank influence on me. We headed straight to Avery because, y'know, shaken soda only lasts so long. We soon met up with Avery, (nervous to bits), but Avery was with Cora. Cora immediately knew that we were up to no good, slapped on an imaginary police hat, and started chasing after us to end our plan.

Apparently Ben had a plan B in case anything happened. He started off down an escape route and I followed. But Cora stopped us right in our tracks by lobbing a backpack at Ben’s leg, causing a chain reaction of the soda falling out of his hands and exploding onto Mx. Allen's head.

All four of us stared at our librarian’s soaked head of soda, our mouths wide open. But I think I saw Avery grinning - probably overjoyed that this soda didn't wind up on her head!

(PS Mx. Allen is super cool and only made us cover the library for the rest of our lunch break while they went and got changed.)
